About the Maryland Customized Employment Partnership
MCEP is a five-year demonstration model development project funded by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), U.S. Department of Labor, and led by the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board in partnership with TransCen, Inc. and the Career Transition Center, Inc. The initiative provides the incentive for planning and implementing provisions for people with significant disabilities to obtain universal access to workforce investment services that are offered to the general public. Through collaborations between One Stop Career Centers and disability service organizations, the project will create customized employment opportunities that are based on both individual job seeker preferences, interests, and skills and particular employer needs.
